A LIGHT DIVIDED
Genre-bending band, A Light Divided burst onto the NC underground scene in 2007 and hasn't slowed down since. Blurring the lines of Metal, Pop, and Hardcore into a cohesive new sound, this group, made up of two groups of long time friends and local musicians - Guitarists - James Lewis and Eric Humiston, Drummer - Adam Smith, and Bassist - Mike Underwood , and New Jersey native, Vocalist Jaycee Clark, seek to redefine the term "post-hardcore".
In 2008 they self released their debut full length album "Before The Fall". Now, in 2010, they follow up with the new EP "For The Sake Of Change" and show the growth and focus that come with time and experience. For the band, "For The Sake Of Change" is a step out in a new direction and features production work from Tommy Church of The Autumn Offering and Tony Gammalo from Spider Studios (Chimaira, Walls of Jericho, Drowning Pool).
Praised for their live high energy performances, A Light Divided has shared the stage with numerous national acts including; August Burns Red, Mushroomhead, The Autumn Offering, Silent Civilian, In This Moment, Bury Your Dead, Powerman 5000, Eyes Set To Kill, and more. As well as being selected in 2009 as a winner in the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands that gave them a spot on the VA Beach stop of Warped Tour 09 featuring A Day To Remember, Bayside, 3Oh!3, Underoath, Chiodos, and many many more.
Now, A Light Divided is taking it on the road. With a 3 week tour supporting "For The Sake Of Change" hitting 10+ states booked for Summer 2010, A Light Divided continues to expand their unique brand of Pop/Metal to the entire east coast.

We are focused on one singular objective, the development of the music industry in the Carolinas while encouraging growth in our music both present and future.
The CM Awards will focus on the hottest music/artist in the Carolinas (North & South) in most genres; however we will honor artist outside the Carolinas as well. This is the official request for your support. We are currently looking for sponsors, advertisers, volunteers and anyone with an interest in supporting the CM Awards and music in the Carolinas.
Tickets are now on sale for the CM Awards through Ticketmaster: www.ticketmaster.com/Carolina-Music-Awards-tickets/artist/1219243 Or direct from the CM Awards Staff for group rates – info@CarolinaMusicAwards.com Nominations, Voting, & Winning
The CM Awards is designed like a People’s Choice Award show: , fans and supporters will decide who wins the awards. First we take nominations on our website. The top nominations are reviewed by our panel and those nominations become the CM Awards Nominees. From those nominees, the people get to vote and if your favorite artist did not get nominated you can still write in that person’s name! So the CM Awards gives THE PEOPLE two chances for their voices to be heard; during the nominations process and during the final award voting process, hence we are truly an awards show, BY THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE.

LIzh
Singer/songwriter Lizh and her band have a unique approach to music: "If it feels good and sounds good, who cares what you call it?" With Lizh's power house vocals, distinctive songwriting and the band's uncanny ability to capture a "melting pot" sound, they make genre-hopping feel completely natural. With the heart of Soul and a singer/songwriter taste for story telling, Lizh and band blur the lines between the genres with occasional stanzas of Spoken Word, a Reggaeton rhythm here and there.
Garland Mason Band
Over the past 5 years, Garland Mason has been writing songs about the world around him. As an astute observer, his songs touch on social issues, love, loss, joy, and pain. After spending his youth searching for his voice, he finally found it in the American music forms of Blues, Soul, Motown and R&B. Growing up in a small town called Fuquay-Varina, NC, set a fire in his heart to travel and learn from life through experience; which is where the inspiration to write blooms. His sound is as if Marvin Gaye sat down and wrote a few tunes with Muddy Waters and Stevie Wonder.
Garland recorded his first set of songs in late December of 2009 in a Raleigh studio with his original 3-piece band. In January of 2010, Garland Mason took his songs to Nashville in a showcase for music executives at the historic 3rd and Linsley. After receiving deafening amounts of positive feedback, he decided to form a new, concrete band to give the backbone to his songwriting. Once this group began piecing itself together, the Raleigh music scene quickly began falling for the fresh sound of this new group. Soon there after, Garland headed to the 96 Rock studio to record his songs for the masses on the radio waves. With an interview and 3 songs recorded acoustically in studio, the greater Raleigh/Durham area got it's first true taste of the passion Garland emblazons in his heart for music.
