Radio Silent Auction (RSA) emerged in Raleigh, NC in early 2008 on a mutual vision to create independent rock music that is original, genuine and dynamic. RSA is made up of four experienced musicians from the mid-Atlantic local music scenes in Raleigh and Asheville NC, Richmond VA and Washington DC. Brett Durham – vocalist and guitarist, Bucky Fairfax – guitarist, Jeremy Cartner – bassist, and Ash Stevens – drummer. RSA’s sound is defined as a blend of alternative and classic rock with tones of indie, blues and pop. A solid groove with dirty riffs and a gritty edge. Two guitars provide balanced tone and contrast out in front of a rhythm section that establishes a simple but purposeful presence. Vocals are raspy and soulful, abandoned and incensed, resilient, meaningful and coercive. Lyrical themes of love & hate, freedom and control, and personal and social dysfunction resonate. RSA’s goal is to create music that brings together their wide range of influences, share their music to as broad of a fan base as possible and provide an enjoyable musical experience to their audience. Abandon the fiber essence presence / belief is the death of intelligence / the way to combat falsehoods is with truth.

Erik Smallwood wants to be the bluesy-soul in your right ear and the pop-rock in your left. A recent transplant from Alabama, you might not have heard of him, but you have heard his music all around the Triangle. Blessed with a sensuous bluesy growl, Erik flawlessly blends his God-given gifts with incredible pop-driven hooks and soulful guitar wrangling to create a sound entirely his own.
Grasping his roots in gospel music and using U2, Sting, and Jeff Buckley as wings, Erik Smallwood wants you to hear his music and wants it to change your life as it has his. A fun-loving man with a wickedly quick wit, Erik's stage presence is entertainment in and of itself. Do yourself a favor, follow in the footsteps of enraptured audiences all over the southeast, and come out to hear Erik Smallwood.

There's too much stuff going on... Kepteclectic hasn't played in TWO YEARS. And they are huge. HUGE. Pasadena? If you were one of the 200 heads jumping up and down last month at the Flower, then you need no explanation. Also, the Miller Girls are having a reunion party, Cooter and Asheton are having a MASSIVE dual birthday bash, F.A.C. (Friday Afternoon Club) is having a happy hour here, DJ Haeckmatic is spinning on and off all night long, and there is a monstrous barcrawl coming through... In other words, come at 5pm. Stay until 2am... And wonder why you don't do this every night.
