Sleep Control is an Indie Progressive band based out of Raleigh, NC. The band has been together for three years now. Major influences include Radiohead, Deftones, The Verve, Silverchair, Avenged Sevenfold, Tom Waits, Helmet, and Nirvana. Members include front man, James Forgey, who began playing music at age 12, acted in and wrote two songs from the sound track of the 27 Club. James writes music, plays guitar, and sings for Sleep Control. James draws his musical influence from all the places he has lived across the U.S. and Europe. Steve Tucci, from New York and New Hampshire, who has been playing music since the age of 3, plays guitars and sings for Sleep Control. Steve is a self taught musician who has played in several hard core and metal bands. Steve has also engineered and mixed all of their EP and some of their bonus songs. Bass player Sam Branstetter, originally from Idaho, Started playing music at age 13. Sam played in several bands before eventually moving to North Carolina and joining Sleep Control. Influenced by blues, metal, progressive, rock and roll, and funk, Sam has brought a great sound to the band. Last but not least, drummer Dave Marzetti has developed a love of orchestration and composition from his time spent in his school’s marching and orchestral bands. Dave has grown as a musician drawing influence from a wide variety of genres. Sleep Control have built themselves quite a fan base from playing all around the region and look forward to expanding and growing as much as possible. They have played such venues as: The Pour House, Berkley Café, The Dive Bar, Local 506, The Brewery, Deep South, The Nightlight, and Boyland Heights.
